THERAPIST

 


Lorna McKenzie-Pollock is a licensed independent clinical social worker, licensed in the State of Massachusetts. She received her Masters in Social Work from Boston University in 1985. She has been practicing psychotherapy for 23 years and has 20 years experience using hypnosis. She has presented at conferences throughout the United States as well as in Canada and New Zealand.

She is a member of the New England Society of Clinical Hypnosis. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor, Part-Time, at Boston University School of Social Work where she teaches courses in clinical practice as well as in the Post-Graduate Certificate Program in Psychological Trauma.

In addition to her training in social work, Ms. McKenzie-Pollock has a Masters Degree in Anthropology, and is also known for her work in cross-cultural issues in psychotherapy. She has treated clients from many different countries, including Cambodia, Vietnam, India, the Middle East and Africa. She conducts trainings on working with immigrants and refugees.
